The Web Result Data API allows you to perform custom searches and obtain detailed results directly from the world's most widely used search engine. This API delivers structured results based on a keyword or query term, returning data such as page title, description snippet, direct link, formatted URL, thumbnail, and rich content such as metadata, Open Graph tags, and social cards (e.g., Twitter Card).
Each result has the type customsearch#result and includes fields such as title, snippet, link, displayLink, formattedUrl, and HTML versions (htmlTitle, htmlSnippet, htmlFormattedUrl) that allow you to highlight matches. In addition, visual information is incorporated through pagemap, where you can access thumbnails (cse_thumbnail) and featured images (cse_image). Useful meta information is also obtained for integration with social platforms such as og:image, og:title, og:description, and twitter:card.
This allows you to leverage the power of Google search within your own platforms, displaying accurate and relevant results with a structure ready to be presented on websites, mobile applications, or dashboards.
The API returns structured search results from Google, including titles, descriptions, URLs, thumbnails, and rich information like metadata and Open Graph tags. Each result is formatted for easy integration into applications.
Key fields in the response include title, snippet, link, displayLink, formattedUrl, and HTML versions (htmlTitle, htmlSnippet, htmlFormattedUrl). These fields help highlight search matches effectively.
The response data is organized as an array of results, each containing fields like title, snippet, and link. Additionally, visual elements are included in the pagemap, which provides thumbnails and featured images.
The API provides information such as page titles, description snippets, direct links, formatted URLs, thumbnails, and rich content like Open Graph and Twitter Card metadata, enhancing the search result context.
The primary parameter for the GET Search endpoint is the keyword or query term. Users can customize their requests by specifying different keywords to retrieve relevant search results.
Users can leverage the returned data to display search results on websites or applications. The structured format allows for easy integration, enabling features like highlighting matches and displaying rich media.
Typical use cases include enhancing website search functionalities, creating dashboards with live search results, and integrating search capabilities into mobile applications for improved user experience.
Data accuracy is maintained through the use of Google's search algorithms, which continuously update and refine search results. The API reflects the latest information available from Google, ensuring relevance and reliability.
